Summary: Chapters 16-20

17.The days neared forty eight hours. Studies showed an increase impulsiveness during the long daylight periods. She didn’t want to tell people about her dad’s affair. It is New Year’s Eve and Julia and her mother were driving to her grandfather’s house. While driving her mom fainted and they hit a bearded man. Julia then said, “If this man lives, I will never complain about anything ever again.” The mom kept asking a people if the man was okay and all they would tell her is that they’re doing everything they can. They went to the grandfather’s house and he was packing his belongings. This is when her mom started to feel sick.

18.They called it gravity sickness at first and there would come a time eventually when you need only mention the syndrome and everyone understood what they meant. Only a certain people were affected. Her mom only focused on the pedestrian she hit and would try to find out if he’s okay. Her mom stopped driving and ate less and less. Seth Moreno came back! Gabby shaved her head. Gabby met a guy online that lives in Circadia. Someone is messing around and cut the power to the houses that real timers live in. The perpetrators were never caught.

19.Julia wants to quit soccer but her dad didn’t let her. She ditched practice and went to a store and bought her first bra. After her dad picked her up at the soccer field and drove home.

20.It is now February and her mother’s illness got worse. The dad thinks it is anxiety. Her parents spoke less and less. She caught her father with Sylvia again. Her dad receives a call from the hospital and they inform him that the man died on arrival and Julia hears the conversation. The dad lied to the mom and told her that the guy lived and was released from the hospital. Julia couldn’t believe that her dad was lying again.
